This is the first of a podcast series called “Got a Sermon” where those primarily from the ‘A Thoughtful Faith Support Community’ share their ‘church’ talks.
This week our speakers are Ronie Hayashida Cabral Reed, Tom Tolman and Mica McGrigg talking about authentic spiritual practice.
Mica McGrigg,I love that reading of the story of the rich young man. I’m in the midst of spiritual seeking in a way I never have before and it has required me to step away from the structure of the church, at least for now. It was initially terrifying. However, in stepping away I have felt reinvigorated in my discipleship, and an increased clarity of spirit and mind as well as a deep and profound connection to God. The process of becoming is something I don’t fully understand and seems to me radically personal, but I thank you for sharing your reading. It speaks directly to my personal experience. Wish I would have had a chance to talk more with you at RMR.
Great episode!
